Vegan certification label

The conscious avoidance of animal products is becoming increasingly important to consumers. Vegan eating is now synonymous with modern, responsible consumption. But what does this have to do with wine? Isn’t wine naturally vegan?

Although wine is made exclusively from the juice of grapes, animal-derived substances are often used during its production. For example, proteins or gelatin are commonly employed for fining (clarifying) the wine. This means that any wine not explicitly labeled as vegan may have come into contact with animal products during its production process.

As one of Germany’s leading suppliers of organic wines, we also offer premium vegan wines clearly marked with the internationally accredited Vegan label to help you choose with confidence.
